Best getaway destination in Limburg

The staff of this hotel is incredible - everyone is polite and helpful. The territory is absolutely marvelous with an extensive sculpture collection and well maintained greenery. The fact that it has its own wellness facilities was the selling point for me to book this specific property.

The rooms could have been cleaned with more care. The fact that on top of high rates for stay they charge extra for the mini bar and even cream in the suite 's bathroom is putting a bit of a questionable color. Either make it into a list of extras that are possible, but putting it in front of people like some sort of mini shop in your room that you already paid for is not how you come out carrying about your visitors.

Nice stay to recharge batteries and enjoy nature as well as a Nice spa and restaurant experience.

Hiking path highlighted by the hotel is great for leasure walks or jogging. Breakfast provided huge selection including on-request omelettes and pancakes. Staff at the breakfast was really friendly and very attentive. Dinner at the Salons was really nice and the staff is really professional and made the dinner a wonderful experience.

Good excellent food both evening and breakfasts.

The location and the walk nearby. Easy for visiting Maastricht and Valkenberg

Our coffee machine did not work. One has to scan the QR code for instructions. It only dispensed hot water and finally it was changed. Also there was a half opened cream that had to be chucked away. We think these things should be checked before the arrival of new guests considering the status of the hotel. We also found the lighting in the bedroom on the low side.

Absolutely wonderful for 2 nights. Only one night is not enough.

The place is absolutely wonderful. All the Staff is extremely well trained and very polite. The Breakfast was very good with several options á la Carte and at the Buffet. They give us all the time to have the breakfast with time even after the Breakfast open hours. I truly recommend this Relais & Chateaux.

Only the kind of bread in the breakfast buffet if I want to be very meticulous.

Nice hotel with a whole lot of potential

The surroundings were beautiful, super peaceful and serene with a lot of greenery and animals like horses and bunnies ect.the restaurant served really good quality food made from their own grounds and the staff was very accommodating.

The rooms are a bit dated, a lot of vintage furniture and that could have its charm but our room was not it, super old stained carpets and closets were a bit too vintage ect.

Beautiful surroundings, nice room

Room smelled of cigarettes upon arrival, but luckily it was nice weather so we simply left the windows open and the smell vanished soon

lovely stay!

overall the trip was perfect, the team is very supportive and the hotel is very special, we will definitely come again in the spring.

The building is old and very beautiful but some appliances might be newer, such as bathrooms. There were stains at the shower, which looked like mold. I think the breakfast is over rated, might be cheaper or have more options.

Good food but pricey. Good breakfasts with a wide choice.

The grounds of the hotel and convenient for both Maastricht and Valkenberg. Enjoyed the spa facilities

The fact that the info on the room coffee machine can only be accessed by the QR code! If turned out that our coffee machine was faulty. Also a cream sachet had been partly opened and was rank. These two items should have been thoroughly checked before new guests arrived. We found the shade in the standard lamp gave little extra light.

Very nice hotel but delivering below expectations

Very nice domain, beautiful nature and elegantly decorated castle. We had a globally stay and lovely dinner at the restaurant les Salons. However, i cannot put a higher rating due to a disappointing issue with the heating and the below-standard way this was handled.

We booked this hotel for a romantic weekend in the end of December. However, the heating was not working in our room. We wanted to have a shower before dinner, had to wait for someone to come and solve the problem. However, he wasted 15 min there trying to fix it in vain. We eventually arrived late at dinner. The only solution offered in the meantime was an electric heater between the bedroom and bathroom which was suboptimal to say the leadt. Of course, such issues can happen but the way it was handled was really not up to a 5-stars hotel standards. You would normally expect that the hotel spontaneously apologizes and provides some kind of compensation, but they did not. Only after i mentioned the issue at check-out, did the hotel give us a small pot of marmelade as a gift ...which was quite an absurd gesture and certainly not an appropriate compensation for the inconvenience caused.

Very Good

The location and the history behind it is amazing (even though I would have expected the hotel management to have done more to engage the guests into what to do around). Both restaurants are superb! Would be interested to stay in the main building), it was in renivatiin at the time of our stay).

The room (two bedroom suite) where we stayed, while huge, would benefit from some maintenance - it was visible it aged and this didn't help to feel cosy. There was no "lobby-like" area where you can stay and relax. The breakfast was quite average (same options every day, quite basic ones, no real espresso and freshly squeezed orange juice) - would have expected more of a R&C member and considering the quality of the restaurants for dinner.

There was some miscommunication between restaurant and Hotel about prepayment of 50 Euro (for dinner booking) - however is was solved professionally by the staff

Beautiful, relaxing place to stay

Very clean room, great atmosphere, great dinner, beautiful surroundings and buildings, great breakfast, kind staff.

Very expensive place. I ordered flowers for in the room + rose leaves; they were delivered late, after we already checked in and had entered the room. We were allowed into the room 1 hr earlier, which was great, but I would expect the flowers and leaves to be there already. The location for the breakfast was not that nice in terms of styling / surroundings.

Wonderful

Room was super cozy and chic, and staff was very welcoming and ready to help out. Our favorite part was the pool and spa area which were incredible and serene

Breakfast is good, but not worth the extra 30 euros. Our stay was not in the main chateau, but on the property on the side which was a bit disappointed as we did not get to see the inside of the chateau
